“May Day May Day! I need some fresh air!” If you are saying that, then join us for our road trip. Next Saturday, May 27th, we are planning a day trip upstate to Bash Bish Falls. It is quite a drive for one day, but has nice scenery along the way to enjoy.
Please reply to this e-mail, or sign up at church tomorrow if you plan to come to be sure we have enough food for lunch. If you need transportation, please let me or Pastor Andrew know. If you are able to drive and have a seat or two available, please let us know as well.
8:30 - 11:30 am: Leave in a caravan from Forest Hills LIRR stop. (Cars leave at the latest at 9:00 am, so don’t be late!) Click here for State Park website. It should take 2 ½ hours.
12:00 - 3:00 pm: Lunch/devotional/singing at Taconic State Park (church will provide lunch). If you can bring along a side, dessert or beverage that would be helpful! Meet at the Pavilion near the play ground.
3:00 - 6:30: Hike to Falls - The walk is about a mile, but uphill and a decent hike. Trail path is smooth and well kept (you are not hiking through underbrush).
6:30/10:00 pm: Head back and get dinner on the way. There is a Red Robbin about 40 minutes from the falls which is a good stopping point.
10:00 pm: Home in time to get some rest and be back in church on the 28th = )
